“Known as The Great One, McTavish’s style can best be described as the black and white semblance of a time travelling graffiti moniker…”

Earlier this year, I was asked to write the press release for Magnus McTavish’s solo exhibition, Holy Mountain. With the event based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast of Australia, the release was simply targeted at local media organisations, fanatics and connoisseurs, with the hope of attracting a buying crowd to take part in live art installations, auctions and dance floor action.

Holy Mountain: A solo exhibition by Magnus McTavish

On the 13th of April from 6.30 p.m. street art entrepreneur, Magnus McTavish will take over the Burleigh Masonic Centre in a hyper graffiti first for the venue.

A select showcase of abstract and avant-garde original works will be on display for a royal and loyal list of collectors, followers and invitees.

The event will run until 9.30 p.m. with a full evening of semi erotic live art and band appearances to keep attendees wild, dripping and entertained.

Free drinks will flow courtesy of the Burleigh Brewing Co. with an after party hosted at The Factory where the Vulture St. Tape Gang will feature, as well as other guest appearances. Uber will be on standby to transport all party enthusiasts safely.

Not to be missed, McTavish is an established and independent street artist who has painted alongside well known global talents including Anthony Lister, Shepard Fairy and Shida.

Known as The Great One, McTavish’s style can best be described as the black and white semblance of a time travelling graffiti moniker, whose work tells the tale of a thousands souls through fast movement.

In true Masonic fashion, Holy Mountain is an invite exclusive event and secret handshakes will be the only way of entry for those not on the guest list seeking to know what goes on behind the closed doors of this club.

Secure your spot and RSVP via the contact details provided below.

The event organisers are available to arrange any private meetings and interviews with the artists leading up to the exhibition and on the night. Merchandise, A0 prints, zines and t-shirts will be on sale to satisfy every level of art connoisseur – hand signed by the artist himself.
